Yvonne Macias has been recognized for performance in many industries which include Oil and Gas, Pulp and Paper, Pharmaceuticals, Nuclear Energy, Aerospace, and in Military contracts. As a former Operations Manager in Houston, Texas and now a business partner at The UPS Store in Los Lunas, NM, she continues to be recognized in her community for her achievements.

Recently, The UPS Store was recognized as Business of the Year 2022 by the Belen Chamber of Commerce for all the community services provided by the employees and The UPS Store. Her goal is to create a higher quality of life for the residents of Valencia County by providing information, contributions,  and services to the area.

​

Many organizations have benefitted from the charitable work completed by Yvonne Macias, The UPS Store, and their employees. Organizations such as H2, Rocketeen, The Juvenile Justice Board, The Blue Star Mothers, Junior Achievement, and The Valencia County Animal Shelter are just a few organizations who have benefitted from their hard work and interest in creating a higher quality of life for Valencia County. The UPS Store is also heavily involved with Toys for Tots Literacy which has donated thousands of books into the Valencia County Education system.

Another achievement that has received recognition in Valencia County is the food pantry built by UPS and The UPS Store at Ann Parish Elementary School. This food pantry, built from an old storage closet, not only feeds the students in the school but also feeds the surrounding community. The food pantry is utilized by Roadrunner Food Bank and doubles as a clothing closet for underprivileged students and families who are in need.

 

Yvonne Macias is also recognized as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol, an organization for youth who have interest in aerospace, flight, and piloting aircraft. The youth in this Air Force Auxiliary program move into positions within the military or work to enter into higher education at the New Mexico Military Institute, West Point, and The Air Force Academy.
