Hi I’m Shireen McDonald and have been with the Hispano Chamber of Valencia County for over 20 years and have served as President, President Elect and Secretary.  I worked at the University of New Mexico for over 32 years and retired as a Human Resources Administrator from the Valencia Campus.  I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NM and am a New Mexico Highlands University Alumni.   I have lived in Valencia County for over 35 years and am happy to call it home.  I am proud to be part of the Hispano Chamber and hope to continue as long as possible.  During my tenure on the Board, we have awarded many scholarships to our county's youth through the hard work and dedication the board has done yearly for the past 23 years.   I have seen many changes, lots of people have come and gone but what has remained constant is the passion of helping our students succeed and becoming strong individuals who are willing to come back and contribute and continue the tradition of helping others and paying it forward because that is what this board stands for.
