Rita García
Board of Director
I’ve had the privilege and honor of being an Officer for the Hispano Chamber of Valencia County for many years. Being part of this business organization alongside with fellow board members has proven to help the business community and college students alike. The energy of developing great business partnerships helps build our community to reach full potential. Our HCVC Board works hard and is dedicated to our businesses and students with our Annual Matanza event. We have hope that this upcoming year holds promise of getting together in person once again with our Quarterly membership events and, of course our Annual Matanza Scholarship Event (January 2022). My work evolves around building relationships, I am employed at the University of New Mexico, Valencia Campus, as the Branch Recruitment Specialist. I work closely with Valencia and Socorro county area schools, providing guidance and assistance to students from start to finish. I was born in NM, graduated from local high school and college in Las Cruces, NM. Although I did move away to Northern California for 12 years, I did always miss the flavor of NM and my roots. I returned to find a growing and progressive Valencia County. I love the agriculture and the rural atmosphere of our community, as well as the growth to maintain our livelihood. I love to travel, hanging out with family and friends, and getting pretty competitive at game nights!
