Julie has worked in the field of education for over twenty-seven years. She was a Bilingual Teacher, Principal, Special Services Director and prior to retiring in 2020, an Assistant Superintendent for the Los Lunas Schools. In 1996, she represented the state of New Mexico as a Teacher Ambassador in Monterey, Nuevo León, México. In 1998, she was awarded the nation’s most prestigious and lucrative educator recognition, the National Milken Award. Julie and her husband Kevin, have two children, Joelle Lucinda and Kade Gregorio. She loves supporting her own children’s academic and athletic endeavors, getting involved in her church and advocating for the children of Valencia County. She has proudly served on the Hispano Chamber of Valencia County Board of Directors since 2013.
